| My Story |
Altium I Was employed by Altium.com full time salaried, as a Content Developer, Oct 2023 to Nov 2024. Altium had a lay off so I dont work there anymore! I have a professional home studio and worked remotely for Altium. At Altium I created training content and voice overs for the Enterprise and Education groups. In my 13 months at Altium, I created 13 videos, varying in length from 8 minutes to 30 minutes. I recorded 269 separate Voice Overs that were used in the 13 videos. Hubbell Lighting, Dual-Lite Group I was a Design Engineer from 2016 to 2023 at Hubbell Lighting. While working at Hubbell Lighting, I worked with the other members of the Dual-Lite team to write, produce, and direct the two product videos shown on the main page. Kearfott Corp, Training Dept I was a Technical Trainer in the Aerospace Industry from 2013 to 2016. I created training materials for company use. Travelled to teach several courses at the Corparate Headcourters in New Jersey, and at the production facility in North Carolina. I held teaching certifications from IPC, NASA, and Kearfott Corp. Kearfott Corp, Test Equipment Group Worked as a Senior Level Electronics Technician in the aerospace industry from 2008 to 2013. Designed and built automated test equipment used to test aerospace products for commercial and military products. The new designs used embeded microcontrolers and touch screen computers for test control and user interfaces. I wrote the contol software using Lab View, C, and Oshonsoft software. General Info I have an extensive electronic design background and has designed, built, and programmed several electronic test systems while employed at Sonopress, Rieter, CPU, and Kearfott Corporations. I have written production software in Lab View, Oshonsoft for micro-controllers, HTML and CSS for website design. Web site design Created the original web sites for WNChomes, RSEA.org, Hearts with Hands.org, Squire Parsons.com. These web sites are managed by other companies now. My own web sites are fdphillps.com (this site) and fdpsearch.tech, which is an internet search engine that does not track your searches, show you adds, or follow you with cookies. ...A long time ago, in a place far, far away... ACCN Cable TV Video taped raw footage on location for the clients commercials. Working with the client, I wrote the storyboard and voice over script for the commercial. Then edited the raw footage into a finished product adding graphics with the Chyron computer. Over 75 commercials were produced for ACCN. ACCN had many live and pre-recorded shows. I created/edited/produced the intro/outro for each show. |
